Dr. Michael R. Roda, Prothodontist
(Principal, Park Lane Dental Specialists)

Dr. Roda graduated from Dalhousie University in 1977 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. After two years of general practice in Halifax, he attended a post graduate program in Prosthodontics at Indiana University in the United States. After earning his Masters of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Prosthodontics, Dr. Roda returned to Halifax to assume part-time private specialty practice and part-time teaching as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr. Roda has lectured both nationally and internationally. He is Past President of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and is an active member of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada and the Atlantic Prosthodontists Society. He practices at Park Lane Dental Specialists while maintaining limited teaching duties with the new post-graduate program in Prosthodontics at Dalhousie University. He specializes in fixed and removable prosthodontics with special emphasis on crown and bridgework for natural teeth and dental implants. His cases range from patients who have been in motor vehicle accidents and need full restoration to those who would like to improve on the function and/or look of their smile.


Paula LeRue-Walker
Dental Technician - Ceramist

Paula joined Dr. Roda’s practice in 1988. She brings with her two years of Science at Dalhousie University and two years at technical college from which she graduated in 1988. Paula enjoys her work as a Ceramist and has taken many courses over the years to refine her skill. Paula enjoys travel, boating, home decorating and socializing.




Stuart Crosby
Dental Technician - Ceramist

After graduating from NSCC-Institute of Technology Campus in 1980, Stuart worked for a commercial lab for approximately 18 months before joining Dr. Roda in March 1982. Over the years he has taken many upgrading courses involving implants, attachments and ceramics.

Stuart enjoys tropical fish, photography and computers.



Mike Brygider
Apprentice Dental Technician

Mike joined us in the lab and is kept busy working with Paula and Stuart. He’s dedicated to Dr. Roda and helps with pouring up impressions, fabrication of temporary partials, implant stents, bite planes, sport guards and bleaching trays. He assists with lab maintenance and is learning new procedures all the time. A benefit of working with other skilled technicians. We enjoy Mike’s quiet demeanour, while he steadily gets the work done and on time. His dad is Dr. Brygider, so he’s more than a part of our family.


Jeanette Sampson
Registered Dental Assistant

Jeanette has been with Dr. Roda for many years and is great at keeping him well organized and prepared for the next patient. She is very attentive to his patients; she enjoys what she does and it shows. Every year at Christmas, Jeanette organizes a Christmas for a special family that we all contribute to.


Kelli Chard
Registered Dental Assistant

Kelli joined our practice in 2003 as an additional dental assistant and works with Dr. Roda and Dr. Mirbod and she is a big help to both practices. Kelli is always friendly , helpful, and we count on her organizational abilities.
